Spring is a magical time to hold a wedding, but the great British weather can be particularly unpredictable at this time of year.
When you’re planning a wedding, in any season, it’s important to think about the possibility of less than perfect weather. While you can certainly keep your fingers crossed and hope the sun shines, smart couples will choose a venue that takes their breath away both indoors and out.
Here at Coltsford Mill, we’re been blessed twice – with 12 acres of incredibly photogenic grounds and some truly gorgeous indoor spaces. Our charming Mill Room not only makes the perfect backdrop for more intimate ceremonies, it also offers delightful photo opportunities if the weather isn’t playing ball.
Dating back to the Domesday Book, the Mill Room’s stunning features include the workings of the old mill, which have been encased in glass for visitors to enjoy. This fascinating piece of Surrey history adds real character to the space, which can accommodate your drinks reception if it’s too wet or cold to entertain your guests outside.
If you’re wondering how to strike the perfect balance of sunshine and shelter, should April showers strike, look no further than our beautiful barn venue in the Surrey countryside. Light and bright, our Watermill Barn is perfect for larger ceremonies and will host your wedding breakfast.
Oh, and we’ve also invested in some pretty white umbrellas to keep everyone dry and happy.
It’s not too late to book a spring or summer wedding at Coltsford Mill, as we still have some dates available – in fact, you could even marry as the autumn leaves fall for less than you might think. We’ve extended our amazing special offer, 50% off the venue location fee, for available dates through to the end of September 2019 . Get in touch with our wedding team to find out more.
