As the country waits to hear about the government’s roadmap for easing Covid-19 restrictions, many couples are wondering what social distancing measures will mean for their wedding.
Some experts suggest that even when restrictions begin to ease, we are still likely to see a requirement for social distancing at weddings for some time. These measures may vary, depending on the time and circumstances of your wedding.
At Coltsford Mill, we understand that you need to know your big day will be safe for your guests, as well as being a fun and romantic occasion.
Room to breathe
As a fabulous barn wedding venue, we’re blessed with an invaluable asset: space. Our Covid-secure Watermill Barn offers plenty of room for even larger numbers to spread out and relax at a safe distance. Numbers permitting, we can provide extra tables for the wedding breakfast so your guests can stick to their household groups, if they prefer.
All food and drink is served directly to guests at the table, by staff who wear personal protective equipment at all times. Many of our couples have told us that they love this personal service!
In good weather, the barn venue space can be effectively doubled when we throw open the patio doors to the spacious terrace outside. So, your guests can enjoy space, fresh air and the joy of having alfresco drinks while admiring the surrounding Surrey countryside.
Precious time with guests
A more intimate wedding offers the chance for couples to spend more time with their guests than at a larger event. To make the most of this, we can suggest a very special table arrangement during the wedding breakfast.
Couples can sit at their own ‘sweetheart’ table for two at the start of the meal, then move around to join their guests’ tables between courses. You’ll enjoy even more special time with your loved ones, while keeping to a safe distance.
So, you can rest assured that your wedding day is safe in our hands.
