One of 2019’s biggest bridal trends is the epic veil and at our wedding venue, you won’t need to curb your ambitions if you’d like to leave people gasping in your wake.

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra certainly boosted the trend when she married pop star Nick Jonas last year. She headed down the aisle with a show-stealing 23m-long veil that had everyone talking.

That’s nothing compared to royalty, though. When Princess Diana married Prince Charles in 1981, her taffeta and antique lace gown boasted a 7.62m train and a 140m veil. The Duchesses of Sussex and Cambridge opted for more modest adornments, choosing a 5m and 2m-long veil respectively.

The Guinness World Record for the longest wedding veil is held by Maria Paraskeva from Cyprus, who donned a staggering 6,962.6m-long veil for her nuptials in August 2018. That might be somewhat out of our league, but if you want to make a big impression with a voluptuous veil, Coltsford Mill is the perfect place to make a dramatic entrance.

At our gorgeous barn wedding venue set in the Surrey countryside, there’s plenty of room to make a statement. Our Watermill Barn, which can seat 150 ceremony guests, has a 20m-long aisle, so your outfit could still be entering the room even as you arrive at the altar!

Whether you want to feel like a princess or eschew the veil entirely, Coltsford Mill makes a beautiful backdrop for any bridal entrance.

If you’re planning to splash out on awe-inspiring veil, we’ve got great news for you. Our amazing 50% off venue location fees offer has been extended for available dates until the end of May 2020 – saving money on your budget so you can dress like a real princess for the day!
