Unfortunately, in 2020, one story has dominated headlines around the globe and its impact continues to be felt throughout the wedding world. The marriage plans of countless couples have been rocked by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences.

Due to social distancing restrictions, thousands of couples have been forced to postpone or cancel their weddings this year. For those who have chosen to go ahead with their nuptials, as lockdown easing has allowed, their wedding days may have looked substantially different to the day they had been imagining for so long.

In the UK, restrictions on wedding ceremonies and receptions have been gradually easing, but there have been some delays in this progress and there may be a degree of uncertainty around wedding celebrations for some time to come.

We will continue to closely monitor the coronavirus situation and to update you about the latest changes to wedding regulations, as and when further developments occur.

At Coltsford Mill, we know that many of our couples have dreamed of marrying at our gorgeous barn wedding venue for months, or even years. When people first begin their search for places to marry in Surrey, Coltsford Mill’s charm soon wins their hearts. So, we understand how much their wedding day means to our couples and the devastation that can be felt when weddings need to be postponed or altered, in light of Covid-19.

That’s why we’re committed to making those wedding dreams come true – no matter how the coronavirus pandemic unfolds.

Earlier this year, we pledged to give our couples peace of mind in uncertain times by signing up to the Book with Confidence promise. This means that if you need to postpone or cancel your wedding at Coltsford Mill, your deposit will be returned in full, or applied to the new date if you decide to reschedule. Rest assured that if you want to get married at Coltsford Mill, you will be able to do so, even if your original date has to be postponed.

As the coronavirus situation is currently so changeable, we’ve responded to this with even greater flexibility. For those who still wish to marry in 2020, we are introducing a fantastic special offer: new bookings for this year will be charged a reduced venue location fee of just £1,000. In addition, we’re offering an incredible wedding package priced at just £65 per head – to include a three-course wedding breakfast, an evening buffet, a reception drink and half a bottle of wine per guest.

With numbers to be confirmed just four weeks ahead of the wedding date, you will only pay for the guests who you are able to invite at that time. So, even if wedding regulations continue to fluctuate, you can be sure that the team at Coltsford Mill will make planning your wedding as easy and stress-free as possible.

As well as the latest news on social distancing easing and new wedding regulations, we’ll still be sharing wedding inspiration and advice to capture your imagination.
